ISO 9001
The operation of HGUCG is governed by the principles reflected in the Quality Management System. The Quality System is based on the requirements defined by the international standard ISO 9001:2015
The Quality System has as its central focus the stakeholders of HGUCG, with a particular focus and effectiveness in the treatment of patients with Urogenital Cancer or in conducting clinical research in this field. The design aims to meet both the requirements and expectations of stakeholders and the legislative requirements governing its operation.
The main objectives of the Quality System are:
- To organise the services provided in such a way as to ensure the highest possible reliability and efficiency, to create a sense of security and certainty for stakeholders throughout the range of services provided by the HGUCG, protecting, among other things, their personal data by ensuring confidentiality rules by all the team's human resources.
- Ongoing training and coaching of staff to enable them to cope with the demands of their work in accordance with the principles and standards set by the EEIGC Steering Committee.
- The continuous improvement of the services provided and the overall operation of the Quality System through the regular monitoring of its effectiveness and suitability.
The achievement of the above is ensured through the key processes of the Quality System, which define actions such as:
- The systematic monitoring of the effectiveness of the system, through the Quality Councils, in which, among other things, objective quality objectives are established and reviewed.
- The clear identification of the requirements and expectations of 'customers' and the measurement of their satisfaction. Continuous monitoring of the level of cooperation with parties such as those defined through the HGUCG procedures.
- Continuous training and education of staff. Ensuring the necessary resources (human, material and immaterial) for the effective operation of the HGUCG.
- The documented search for the causes of problems and weaknesses in order to identify and implement the necessary corrective and/or preventive actions to avoid the recurrence of problems.
- Operations with environmentally friendly practices and based on legal and regulatory requirements related to climate change.
The overall implementation of the principles of the system is ensured through the continuous information and training of staff at all levels, with the main purpose of creating awareness of the objectives and philosophy of the system.
