Objectives of HGUCG
The objectives of HGUCG, as stated in the Group's statutes are:
- - To collaborate with the relevant institutions to conduct and advance clinical and fundamental research and its applications in urogenitourinary cancer, both domestically and internationally. This will include the publication and application of the results of the research
- To strengthen the cooperation of all specialists involved in the research, diagnosis and treatment of patients with Uro Genitourinary Cancer
- To promote medical science, as regards the diagnosis and treatment of cancer of the genitourinary system and the direct benefit of society as a whole
The achievement of the above objectives is pursued mainly through the following activities:
- Conducting clinical, clinical-laboratory and laboratory studies and publishing the results of this research in reputable Greek and international journals
- The implementation of common guidelines for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with Uro-Genitourinary Cancer.
- The organisation of a variety of scientific events related to uro-genitourinary cancer, including educational seminars, presentations, lectures, scientific meetings, and Greek and international conferences.
- The association and cooperation of the Society with other similar organizations in Greece and abroad, especially with governmental agencies, institutions, scientific societies, groups, associations and other bodies.
- The dissemination of knowledge on issues related to Genitourinary Cancer through the publication of informative bulletins and through the use of the Internet.
